A Week at Home

Exactly a fortnight ago I decided to shoot a roll of film in a week. While this might sound like no mean feat to some (myself included if I’m travelling or at an event or special occasion), I’ve long fallen into the trap of leaving a half-finished roll in my camera, feeling uninspired and as though my day-to-day in Newcastle is unremarkable and un-photoworthy.

So, I decided to challenge that. This particular week involved lots of walking around town, some wining and dining with my sister and visiting my parents. I’m quite happy with the results!

72 Hours in Hobart

I visited Hobart, Tasmania in January to run my first half marathon (a hobby very disparate to my photographic pursuits but cherished nonetheless!). Below are a few snaps I got during my downtime on the trip, including a very entertaining solo visit to the MONA Museum (which I totally, 100% recommend by the way).

Beaches, Bands and Beers

I’m not going to pretend these photos are recent. We’re also not straying too far from my usual photographic themes of Beaches, Bands and Beers™️ here, but shoot what makes you happy amirite?

In the months of October-December, 2018 I visited the little-known holiday destination of Byron Bay, took my camera along to Yours & Owls fest in Wollongong and we got kicked out of our beloved flat in Merewether but moved to an even better place a few minutes away. Hopefully all of that is actually interesting in photo form, but I won’t make any promises!
